10 – Worlds Largest Residential Home
Coming in just in-front of Buckingham Palace, this massive compound is currently the largest residential palace in the world and the largest single family residence ever built.
Constructed in 1984 at a cost of around $400 million dollars, the palace features many amenities including its very own horse stable.
The Sultan’s home contains a completely insane 1,788 rooms that include 257 bathrooms, a banquet hall for 5,000 guests, 110 car-garage and five stunning swimming pools.
The palace is spread over two million square feet and has its own Mosque that can accommodate up to 1,500 worshipers at one time.
The palace is so large that its requirements include the use of over 564 chandeliers, 51,000 lightbulbs, 44 stairwells and 18 elevators.
9 – Mercedes Benz CLK GTR Roadster
Built by Mercedes-Benz Performance and Motorsport arm in 1997, its thought that the Sultan of Brunei owns two of these super custom sports cars.
The car took part in 22 races including the Le Mans 24-hour race and raked in seventeen wins and seventeen pole positions.
The car features a six litre V12 engine and its thought that there are only twenty five road legal versions in existance and only two of them feature RHD steering.
The Sultan of Brunei auctioned off the cars in 2009, one for for half a million dollars and one for $620,000 dollars.
8 – Las Vegas Home
Another large home and another auction, this time for a guide price of $37.5 million dollars, its thought the Sultan of Brunei had this estate built for his younger brother.
The home is one of the biggest in Las Vegas and has 17 bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms, 36 other bathrooms, a 50-car parking lot and another garage that holds eleven cars.
The house features a large 1,000 person ballroom, international-sized swimming pool, swan pond, commercial kitchen, equestrian center, polo track, sushi bar and its own discoteque.
In addition to all these features, there is a mens and ladies spa and salon, personal theatre and nightclub.
Its thought the massive home covers around 73,000 square-feet and comes with an additional eight seperate buildings on-site.
7 – Custom Airbus A340-200
Dripping in luxury, the Sultan of Brunei has this amazing personal Airbus A340-200 that features a master bedroom and bathroom as well as an on-board conference center.
This jet is the only version with the wingspan measuring greater than the length of the fuselage and is decorated with the sultan’s personal logo and apparently, gold paint on the underbody.
The Airbus A340-200, seats up to 261 passengers in a three-class cabin layout, has a range of 7,450 nautical miles and costs roughly $87 million dollars.
6 – Regents Park Home
Names St John’s Lodge, this is the private residence of The Sultan of Brunei in London and has an estimated value of $145 million dollars.
The home was built around 200 years ago in 1812 and is currently believed to be one of only two homes created by John Nash
There are three main buildings on the site that are all connected and while twoi are considered to be the main house, The Sultan of Brunei has a room located in a seperate private building with all three buildings covering 3,500 square feet of living space.
The house is open to the public at certain times of the year and is surrounded by beautiful gargens that feature fountains, a meditation area, doric temple and a massive stone portico.
5 – Boeing 767-200
Costing a whopping $160 million dollars, this is the second private plane belonging to the Sultan of Brunei.
The plane is a mid-sized, wide body, twin engine jet airliner that was built by Boeing commmercial airplanes and The Sultan of Brunei has several room upgrades inside.
He has access to a large private office on-board and other amenities include a bedroom, bathroom and space for the Sultan’s travelling associates.
The plane has a travel range of 6,590 nautical miles and with full seating, can hold up to 290 passengers.
4 – California Home
Another lavish mansion once owned by The Sultan of Brunei, this property is reported to have been sold for around $38 million dollars.
The Spanish colonail styled mansion was built in 1927 and served as the temporary residence for The Sultan of Brunei on the rare occasions when he visited California.
Situated close to sunset boulevard in Los Angeles, the home covers almost two acres of grounds and the main house sits on 14,000 square feet of living space.
Inside the house you can find eight bedrooms, eleven bathroooms all fitted with Jacuzzi’s, dining room, dressing room, modern gourmet kitchen, library and theatre.
Outside there is a covered porch, patio and landscaped gardens with great views of Los Angeles and the Beverly Hills Hotel.
An infinity edged swimming pool and cabana can be found out the back and the on-site garage can hold up to 30 cars.
Celebrity neighbors include Madonna, Pamela Anderson and Janet Jackson.
3 – Ferrari Mythos
Another rare and expensive car in the collection of the Sultan of Brunei is the Ferrari Mythos that was a concept car based on the mechanical underpinnings of the Ferrari Testarossa.
The car was produced in 1989 and its world premier was held at the Tokyo motor show.
Its thought that The Sultan currently owns the only two road legal cars of this type as it was never intended to be sold to members of the public and this includes one Turquoise Convertible
2 – Boeing 747-400
The third of the Sultan’s private planes is the Boeing 747-400 that costs around $400 million dollars new.
The plane is considered to be the best of all three and is described as a palace on wheels with a bedroom, living room, bathroom with solid gold wash basin, corporate office and seperate remote control desk with the whole interior thought to have cost over $120 million dollars.
The plane has been lined with gold throughout and can fly non-stop for up to 7,670 nautical miles and has a commercial passenger capacity of 660.
One interesting thing to note about this plane is the Sultan of Brunei has actually flown it, being a qualified pilot he flew the plane at state events in 2012 and 2008.
1 – Wider Car Collection
The main hobby of the Sultan of Brunei is collecting cars and he has quite the collection indeed.
The collection includes 7,000 of the world’s finest cars and is thought to have a total estimated value of around $5 Billion Dollars.
Some of the only cars in the world are situated in this collection, however he does own more notable cars and this includes 94 Aston Martin’s, 17 Audi’s, 405 Bentley’s, 22 BMW’s, 6 Bugatti’s, 192 Ferrari’s and 3 Ducati’s.
With the Sultan’s garage being so large, it would take around an hour and a half for the cars at the back to be brought forward and the Sultan of Brunei also owns several state Limousine cars.
